NOTICE OF EXAMINATION FOR THE POSITION OF FIREFIGHTER
Applications are being accepted for the position of Firefighter with the City of Cadillac Fire Department. The Cadillac Civil Service Commission will be conducting a written examination for this position on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Cadillac Junior High School Cafeteria, 500 Chestnut Street. The purpose of this examination is to establish an eligibility list for the City of Cadillac Fire Department under the provisions of Act 78 of the Public Acts of 1935, as amended. A physical agility test will also be required at a later date of the top ten (10) applicants.
Applicants must have achieved Firefighter I & II (FFI & FF11) certification, plus an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license from the State of Michigan at the time of application. Proof of valid certifications and licensure must be provided with the application. Applications may be obtained at the Cadillac Municipal Complex Administrative Offices, 200 N. Lake Street, Cadillac MI and online at www.cadillac-mi.net and will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at the same address. Faxed or e-mailed applications will not be accepted. Residency within the City of Cadillac or within a 20-mile radius of the city is required within 90 days of appointment. The starting pay for this position is $39,363/yr. The City of Cadillac is an ADA/EOE employer.
