DEEE-troit, y'all......

According to Don Woods, Detroit is going to open up the application period in the very near future...possibly this month. He thinks they are not going to make a big announcement for it, just advertise it in the Sunday Detroit News/Free Press in order to keep it fairly secretive.

Keep watching the Sunday papers, and obviously if he or I get wind of it, we'll post it here.

I am really looking forward to Detroit hiring, I've been waiting for awhile. I know its going to be a long shot but I would really love the experience. Any tips on getting hired?

Buy a HOW TO STUDY FOR THE FIREFIGHTER EXAM book by Arco or Barron's (amazon or Borders, $15). And keep up with your PT! Detroit still (or at least did) have an agility test that is weighted for points, not pass/fail.

Alright, I will pick that up asap. Thanks for the info and posting jobs on this site, it is very helpful.

Any more word? I've been waiting on this one for awhile lol
